Family Gravesites

James had moved to Victoria at the time of his death and is buried with  his wife Catherine Payne (Lloyd) Hassall in Coleraine, western VIctoria.

George was the tenth child of James and was only a year old when his father died.

George and his wife Kate McPhee lived and worked in a number of places in Western VIctoria and eventually settled in Horsham.

The gravesite has some damage to the top slab.

Rowland James (AEJA) is the eldest son of George Ernest, in the James line. He married Elizabeth Wynne from Nhill and they had 5 children. They are both buried in this gravesite. 

Because Rowland was serviceman in WW1, his grave is maintained by the Office of Australian War Graves.

Elizabeth (Wynne) Hassall: born 3-Aug-1898, died 14-Apr-1974

In two nearby gravesites are buried members of the Wynne family, Elizabeth's relatives. Her parents were Pierce Wynne and Annie Duff. Her brother Patrick is remembered with them however he died in the First World War and is buried in France. Elizabeth's sister Lucy and her husband William Joseph Cameron are buried nearby.

Rowland Patrick Hassall is fifth generation in the James line.
