The Hassall Family History Association (HFHA) commenced as the Hassall Family History Group, established in 1993 to plan for the 1998 bicentenary. In 2019 it registered as an Association in New South Wales and is now run by an elected committee.
Committee
The elected Committee meets on a regular basis to manage the project work, the newsletters and other communications, and events. It is made up of members who represent several of the family lines. As members live in all parts of Australia, and some in New Zealand, most meetings are held via Zoom, though occasionally face to face meetings are held. The AGM is usually held around August each year and is also conducted via Zoom.
The current committee (2026) is:
- Chairperson – Graham Hassall (Samuel Line)
- Secretary – Alison Shaw (Thomas Line)
- Treasurer – John Brooks (Jonathan Line)
- Member – Rowland J Hassall (James Line)
- Member – John J Hassall (James Line)
