Hello Hassall Family
As Tonga celebrates 200th anniversary on Christianity this year, our local church in Sydney has selected the cemetery of Rev Walter Lawry ( Walter Lawry Methodist Memorial Park, Paramatta) for a Thanksgiving service there on Sunday 28th June, 2026. We kindly ask if any family members would like to join us on this program, we would be happy to discuss/talk with you, and please kindly contact me via (Facebook) messenger.
The reason for selecting this site is that, of all the early missionaries to Tonga, Rev Walter Lawry is the only one buried here in Australia “The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church”.
